I am loving the placement so far and cannot believe the endless insane opportunities the Enterprise has to offer.
In January 2022 I received emails from my university regarding the ability to apply to the targetjobs Undergraduate of the Year Awards. I was looking for ways to practice my interview skills and increase my confidence and this looked like a fantastic opportunity. Little did I know how many opportunities applying to the awards would bring me….
As I browsed the awards categories, the Management Award sponsored by Enterprise, stood out to me. Initially, I hesitated to apply as I did not study management at university, nevertheless I felt confident that my previous work experience would be able to compensate.

The Grand Final
The final held at East Winter Gardens, Canary Wharf, did not disappoint. We were welcomed by a champagne reception where we got to meet everybody and network with other finalists and employers whilst listening to live music. We were then invited downstairs where we could enjoy a four course meal before the awards were announced by Sue Perkins. Sue also gave us some great advice and spoke to us about her own career path. After the award Enterprise took us to the alchemist in Canary Wharf where we could further enjoy a few more drinks and network with one another.
My life since the awards
I am now 6 months in to my one year internship with Enterprise. One of the biggest factors that persuaded me to join the company was the ‘promote from within’ structure, allowing me to progress in management, as well as the high rewards up for grabs. The company culture is reflected in one of their founding values ‘we work hard and reward hard work’ this is something that I love as it creates a motivational and positive work environment. I am loving the placement so far and cannot believe the endless insane opportunities the company has to offer.
