We’re searching UK universities to find the outstanding Maths, Physics and Economics Undergraduate of the Year. We are looking for driven, confident students who are involved with extracurricular activities in these subject areas.

To enter you need to:

  • be an undergraduate student at a university in the UK
  • be in your penultimate or final year at university
  • be studying a Maths, Physics or Economics related degree
  • achieved minimum BBB at A Level (or equivalent) and on track for a 2.1

What could you win?

You could win an eight-week paid summer internship with Glencore across June and July 2024, plus access to unlimited online learning material about the commodities market. The winner will also receive 1-2-1 mentoring and lunch with a senior member of Glencore’s Energy division leadership team.

What makes an award winner?

Our winner will be a maths, physics or economics student who is involved with extracurricular activities in a related area (such as trading and investment societies or societies for subjects including STEM, mathematical sciences, finance, chemical engineering, and environmental sciences). You will also have a can-do spirit and be:

  • dedicated and driven
  • willing to learn and take responsibility
  • bright, curious and confident.
